ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects to a remote server over the internet, so the SquidX URL is all it needs. You sign in with OAuth.
Needs developer mode, on the web. Full access, with write tools, is on Business and Enterprise or Edu (on Business, admins). Pro can connect read and fetch tools only. Plus is not confirmed by OpenAI.

- 1
Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT's settings, open Connectors (also called Apps), then Advanced, and switch Developer mode on. OpenAI moves this toggle: if you do not see it there, look under Settings, Security.
- 2
Create the connector
Click Create, name it SquidX, and paste the URL below. Choose OAuth as the authentication and confirm the warning about unverified connectors.

Sign in and use it
Complete the sign-in on SquidX and choose the access level. In a new chat, open the tools menu in the composer and switch SquidX on.
Check it worked
Ask: "What is in my SquidX queue this week?" ChatGPT shows each tool call. Check them before you confirm: in developer mode the model can take write actions.
We have not tested these steps end to end yet. If something looks different on your screen, the vendor's own page is the reference.
Troubleshooting
- The client says it could not register with the sign-in service
- The discovery documents did not answer. Check that
https://squidx.io/.well-known/oauth-authorization-serverloads in a browser, then remove the server and add it again. - I get a 401 with an API key
- The header is missing or the key is wrong. It is
Authorization: Bearer sqx_..., with the space. - The assistant has no write tools
- The access is read only. Disconnect the app in Settings, then sign in again with Read and write, or create a key with it, and reconnect so the client fetches the tool list again.
- A tool answers inactive
- The workspace has no active plan. Drafts still work. Queuing and publishing need a subscription or credits.
