Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of squidX (the "Service"), operated by Axel Schapmann, an individual based in France ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use squidX. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. What squidX does

squidX monitors public conversations on X (formerly Twitter) that match the keywords, brand terms, and competitors you configure, organizes them into an inbox, and helps you identify potential leads. squidX surfaces opportunities and drafts context, but you decide who to contact and you send every message yourself from your own X account.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email using a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us at axel.schapmann@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to send spam, harass, or contact people in violation of X's rules or applicable law;
• automate posting, following, or messaging on X through squidX (squidX never does this, and you must not attempt to);
• resell, scrape, or redistribute data obtained through the Service except for your own legitimate outreach;
• reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.

You are responsible for complying with X's Terms of Service when you act on anything squidX surfaces.

5. Connecting your X account

Connecting your X account is optional and uses read-only access. squidX can never post, follow, like, or send messages on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard, which revokes our access.

6. Plans, billing, and refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a monthly or yearly basis and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If squidX is not for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. Prices may change with notice; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.

7. No guarantee of results

Plan limits describe maximums, not promised volume. squidX surfaces what is actually being posted on X, so the number and quality of leads depend on real activity in your niche. We do not guarantee any specific number of leads, replies, or customers.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including X, Stripe, OpenAI, Supabase, and others. Your use of features that depend on them is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts, outages, or changes.

9. Intellectual property

squidX, its branding, and its software are owned by us. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. Content surfaced from X belongs to its respective authors.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or missed opportunities.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as liability and governing law) continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have where you live.
