Why automate what happens after you post

A post gets most of its attention in the first hours, then it is buried. Two things help a good post. The first is to bring it back later, for the followers in other timezones who missed it. The second is to put your link in the conversation at the moment the post takes off, not an hour later.

The two automations

Auto-repost reposts a post a set number of hours after it goes live. The delay is one setting for all posts. Auto-reply replies to your own post with a message you wrote, usually with a link, once the post reaches the like threshold you set. If the threshold does not come within 24 hours, the reply never goes out: the plug is meant for posts that take off.

In Settings you write the reply template once and set the defaults. In the Publish and Schedule dialogs you turn each automation on or off for that post. Settings also holds a switch that stops an automation for every post.

Where it fits

Both automations act on posts you publish or schedule on X. To know which posts deserve a second life, read your analytics. The people who answer your plugged post land in the mentions inbox. The free character counter checks your reply before you save it.
