What your AI agent can do on X

Four things you can ask for today, each one backed by real squidX tools.

Schedule and publish posts on X

Your agent drafts posts and threads, fills your queue at the times you set, and publishes when you allow it.

“Draft a five-post thread on this article and put it in the next free slot.”

Read your X analytics

Followers, impressions and engagement over any window, and the posts that did best.

“Which of my posts got the most impressions in the last 90 days?”

squidx_get_analytics · squidx_list_top_posts

Find leads on X

People asking for what you sell, each with a score and the reason it matched.

“List new leads above 80 and write a first DM for each.”

Keep up with your mentions

Replies, quotes and mentions of your account, including the ones you have not answered yet.

“Show me the mentions I have not answered yet.”

Connect your AI agent to X

Pick your agent for the exact steps. The squidX MCP server is the same for all of them: https://squidx.io/api/mcp.

Claude Code

One command in your terminal

No key to paste: your browser opens, you sign in, and you choose an access level: read only, read and write, or custom.

Scope: Only you, in the current project.

  1. 1

    Add the server

One command, from any directory. The scope decides who gets the server.

    bash
claude mcp add --transport http squidx https://squidx.io/api/mcp

--transport http matters: without it the command assumes a local process, not a remote server.

  2. 2

    Sign in when asked

Run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick squidx, and follow the steps in your browser. From a shell, claude mcp login squidx starts the same flow.

Or use an API key

Skip the browser: pass the key as a header when you add the server.

bash
claude mcp add --transport http squidx https://squidx.io/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer sqx_your_key"

Check it worked

bash
claude mcp list

Or ask the assistant something only your workspace can answer: "What is in my SquidX queue this week?" If it cannot connect, claude mcp get squidx reports why, and claude mcp remove squidx undoes the setup.

You control what your agent can do on your X account

When you connect, you choose an access level. You can disconnect any agent in one click from Settings.

Read only

The agent can list posts and read analytics, leads and mentions. It cannot change anything on your account.

Read and write

It can also draft, schedule, reschedule, cancel, delete and publish posts.

Custom

Allow drafting without publishing: the agent fills your queue, and nothing goes to X until its slot.

Prefer plain HTTP? The squidX REST API gives you the same X workspace with a key.

AI agents and X: questions
